Bugok Hot Spring
This Hot Spring was named 'Bugok', meaning a big pot, as this area shapes like a big iron pot. Dongguk Yeoji Seungram has a record that there is a hot spa in this place, so it was also called 'Onjeong' meaning 'a warm well.' The owner of Bugok Hot Spring Sin Hyeon Taek first found this place in 1973. With 6,000 tons of 78℃ hot water pouring out everyday, the Hot Spring is the biggest sulfur spring in Korea. The water has efficacy in curing breathe disease and skin disease as it contains 20 more inorganic matters such as silicon, chlorine, calcium and irons as well as sulfur. This place is a big Hot Spring Compound equipped with accommodations and convenient facilities. Among them Bugok Hawaii is facilitated with a big public bath, indoor and outdoor pools, a botanical garden and a zoo.
