Unlike usual beaches of white sand, Hakdong Black Pearl Pebble Beach is composed of Mongdol (pebbles) that are like black pearls, and is known to be the most beautiful beach in Korea. As you walk along the beach, you can see the clear ridges of Nojasan and Garasan Mountain, the repository of Korean botanical research. You can also see fairy pittas, designated as natural monuments, at the wild camellia habitat in front of the beach. The place is also famous for filming locations of Korean dramas such as Uncontrollably Fond and Introverted Boss.
