Located in Dapori, Nambu-myeon which is the southernmost part of Goeje, Mangsan is a small mountain, 397m high above sea level. The name originated from the story that, during the late Koryo Period, villagers around the mountain voluntarily hiked to the summit of the mountain to watch over Japanese invaders in order to protect their ships. You can enjoy 2km of promenades of green forest and as the slope is not very steep, the mountain is a good place for family hiking. At the peak of the mountain, you can have a clear view of Hallyeohaesang National Park including Dae & Sobyeongdaedo
