As the shape of the mountain looks like a folding fan, the mountain is called ‘Seonjasan’. This mountain is the southern range of Mt. Gyeryongsan and in the middle of the range, there is a dragon pond which was said to be created by the burp of a dragon and thus the name of the pond is called ‘Yongdeombung’. The end of the range is Seonjasan, 507m high above sea level.
At the tail of the range, there is 'Guryongmot' which was considered as the place where 9 dragons used to live and the water curves around to make 20 ha of a lake and it is called 'Guryongho'. In spring, the mountain is covered with Korean azaleas and in the fall, with colorful leaves. At the peak of the mountain, there is 'Shinseon rock' where people prayed for longevity and health. Beyond Yongdeombung, there is a broad and round space full of birches and trees. As the surrounding mountains embraces Seonjasan, it is a good place for a mind-body training as it relieves stress and relaxes you.
