Miryang-si

Miryang is the old city located in the eastern inland of Nakdonggang River. Miryanggang River flows down from the high mountains like Gajisan, Unmunsan and Cheonhwangsan of Youngnam Alps(over 1,000m) and embraces Miryang-si. Miryang has the largest cultivated acreage(17,810ha) in Gyeongnam, and its arable land reaches 22.3%. Besides growing grain crops, Miryang developed the greenhouse horticulture like green peppers, strawberries and sesame leaves as well as fruit farming like sweet persimons, apples and jujubes.

Sajapyeong of Mt. Jaeyaksan behind Pyochangsa Temple, a prairie on 880-1,000m high by the sea level, is known for its reed in the late fall. The Ice Valley at the foot of Gajisan Provincial Park is another tourist attraction frequented by visitors.
