Located in the northern inland of the mid-Gyeongnam, Changnyeong-gun makes the border of Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do. Changnyeong is very beautiful and fertile land with high mountains like Mt. Hwawangsan(County Park), Cheonwangsan and Yeongchuksan on the northeast and fertile rice fields by Nakdonggang River on the southwest.
It also has abundant natural resources like Bugok Hot Spring and Upo Wetland with the distinguished view of 4 seasons. Changnyeong is at the junction of Guma Expressway and the national roads, which reaches Masan, Changwon, Daegu, Miryang, Hapcheon and Euiryeong in an hour's drive.
As an agriculture-oriented town, Changnyeong is famous for the local specialties such as onions, garlic, peppers and sweet persimmons. It also produces greenhouse vegetables like tomatoes, watermelons and cucumber.
