Located in the center of Gyeongnam, Haman-gun has the geography of the high south and the low north with Mt. Yeohangsan (770m) and Mt. Bangeosan (530m) on the southwest and Namgang River and Nakdonggang River on the north.
There are wide fertile rice fields near both rivers. Haman is very convenient in the transportation with the railroad line Gyeongjeonseon and Namhae Expressway from north to south. With this environment, Haman developed the greenhouse horticulture such as watermelons, melons, tomatoes, cucumber as well as grain crops. Haman has also rapid growth in the industries since 1996 in Chilseo Industrial Complex and four other Agricultural & Industrial Complex. Manufacturing metals and automobile parts is the major industries here.
